Abstract
This article discusses a manuscript described by Sotheby's as a 'Beethoven autograph', and points out numerous inconsistencies between the handwriting in the manuscript and Beethoven's normal handwriting. These anomalies demonstrate that he could not have written it, and that it was copied from his own autograph by someone else.
