The Perception of Time: The Clocks Within Us

    Research output: Contribution to conferenceOther

    Abstract

The idea that humans posses some sort of internal clock that mediates their perception of time has gained in popularity in recent years. Despite this the area is relatively unknown and unexplored compared to other perceptual domains. In this talk I will discuss the history and main developments in the field, and some of my own recent work exploring a link between our perception of time and the rate at which we process information. I will also discuss how my experience as an undergraduate at Coventry University inspired the path I have chosen in time perception.
