    Abstract

This work investigates how the measured twist of a rotor yam is affected by the process parameters in spinning. Eight of these parameters are studied systematically using the orthogonal array technique. The fibre type is found to be the most influential, followed by the twist factor and the rotor speed. The likely causes of these effects are discussed.
