Abstract

A shell of iron atoms and tetradentate amino ligands surrounds the close‐packed cluster core [Fe₇(μ₃‐OH)₆(μ₂‐OH)₄{(μ₃‐O)Fe}₂]¹³⁺ common to 1 and 2. These types of compounds could help in understanding naturally occurring hydroxo‐(oxo)iron clusters. (Figure Presented.)
