Carolyn Chew-Graham

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

    Abstract

This chapter will focus on the diagnosis and management of depression in older people in settings outside hospitals. Whilst the majority of the chapter focuses on primary care/family practice, consideration will also be given to people in residential homes. In addition, there will be some discussion of particular issues for primary care in the management of depression in older people from BME (black and minority ethnic) groups. Policy implications of the evidence for the management of older people with depression will be considered. © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
