Abstract
This report describes the second of the experiments exploring how people allocate attention while watching TV with companion content on a second device. This experiment replicates the first, but without eye-tracking. This technical report describes this second experiment and compares the results with those found in experiment one. Some further analysis of experiment 1 is also performed, exploring the quality of the data recorded by the eye-trackers. It was found that participants viewed the companion content more in the second experiment than they did when eye-tracked, although the times at which people shifted attention were broadly unchanged.
