Abstract

Specifications are a vital part of the transformer procurement process, providing the formal interface between the utility and the transformer manufacturer. Maximizing long term performance and minimizing first cost requires an appropriate specification. Achieving the right compromise between design and functional requirements requires care and cooperation between customer and supplier.
