Abstract
The article examines the evolution and application of the
doctrine of enterprise risk in the English law of vicarious liability. It argues
that a jeopardy, as opposed to a benefit centred approach to the doctrine is
preferable in general terms, and also that a benefit centred understanding
enterprise risk raises particular concerns in the context of faith groups
