Abstract
A novel multilayered wideband microwave absorber based on lossy
Sierpinski carpet array has been proposed in this paper. The absorber
consists of four layers of Sierpinski carpet arrays composed of lossy
materials with varying conductivities. The absorber has -10dB
absorption bandwidth of more than two octaves for normally incident
wave and p-polarized obliquely incident wave, from 6 to 40 GHz. The
thickness of the absorber 7.2mm. The structure does not contain any
lumped elements and hence can be realized using 3D printing
technology
