    Abstract

Yeast chromosomes terminate in a GC-rich tail of DNA. Previous investigations have shown that the length of this tail can change in response to genetic variation. Here we present data that show that the length can also alter in response to changes in the amount of the GC-rich DNA found elsewhere in the nucleus. © 1990 Springer-Verlag.
